Living, learning and working together
CAMPHILL in England and Wales offers opportunities for people with learning disabilities, mental health problems and other special needs.
Our 23 centres include independent residential and day schools, specialist colleges of further education and adult communities where individual abilities and qualities are recognised and nurtured as the foundation for a fulfilling life.
Introduction to the Camphill Communiites no published Download here
The five Camphill colleges in England and Wales are all good or excellent with outstanding elements. The colleges include Colleg Elydyr in Wales, the Mount Camphill Community in East Sussex, Pennine Camphill Community in West Yorkshire and William Morris House in Gloucestershire. Sheiling College in Hampshire recently joined the other four colleges after a successful Ofsted inspection.
The new round of Ofsted and Estyn inspections have rightly focussed on students learning. Each college did well with common themes emerging of students gaining outstanding practical skills alongside communication skills.
Camphill Families and Friends
We aim to give our members and supporters a forum through which to share information, experiences and raise awareness of the many current and crucial issues that concern us and those that we love and support. We do this mainly through our newsletter and regional meetings.
IF YOU have a learning disability and you think you would like to live and work in a Camphill community, you can find out more how to apply in the About section of this website.
VOLUNTEERS from many countries come to communities to experience a different way of life while supporting people with special needs. Our volunteers are of all ages - from young people taking a gap year to older people taking a career break. There are Volunteer vacancies now.
