England & Wales
Living, learning and working together
CAMPHILL in England and Wales offers opportunities for people with learning disabilities, mental health problems and other special needs.
Our 23 centres include independent residential and day schools, specialist colleges of further education and adult communities where individual abilities and qualities are recognised and nurtured as the foundation for a fulfilling life.
Introduction to Camphill Communities 2014 soon to be releasesd.
One of the satisfying aspects of running a place like Seahorses is seeing year after year the many friends who wish to return. There are even certain individuals( more than one!) who have over the years travelled on all the island bus routes and even know all the up-to-date timetable changes!
FAMILIES & FRIENDS of Camphill, supported by the Camphill Village Trust, has called on the government for a national scheme for disability care needs assessment and support funding
In the English/Welsh Region we have been sending out Camphill Pages to parents, siblings, professional colleagues and friends using a compiled address list from the Camphill centres for several years. In the future we would like to offer two ways to receive Camp hill Pages. You may view Pages online in the future at www.camphill-uk-ireland.net
IF YOU have a learning disability and you think you would like to live and work in a Camphill community, you can find out more how to apply in the About section of this website.
VOLUNTEERS from many countries come to communities to experience a different way of life while supporting people with special needs. Our volunteers are of all ages - from young people taking a gap year to older people taking a career break. There are Volunteer vacancies now.
