WE RECOGNISE that all those participating in our work and life are on a path of life-long learning and development. This includes the child or adult with special needs, our Guest Volunteers, Co-workers and non-resident staff members.
At the same time each community as a whole has a biography. Understanding this biography and consciously shaping it requires an inner active openness of all members to engage in communty learning. This involves engagement in community processes, the individual and communal capacity to listen to and learn from its members and from situations, both in times of fruitful collaboration as well as in times of difficulties and crisis. This also involves periodic re-appraisal of community values, principles and forms and active engagement with other striving individuals and initiatives.
At an individual level, all communities have, over the past years, started to implement arrangements for regular personal support and reflection for all members of the community. Through these concrete individual learning initiatives can be identified and enabled that will serve both the individual's need to grow as well as bring expertise, skills and wellbeing to the community.
Some of the opportunities that are on offer within Camphill communities and in the wider anthroposophical network are outlined in the subsections to this page.
