CO-WORKER often have qualifications achieved before coming to Camphill, and after gaining experience of our community life they may embark on advanced Camphill courses to follow a particular interest of benefit to their community or region. These courses are mostly 3-4 years in extent, with some involving living full-time in the community offering the course while others are provided in blocks hosted by different communities in rotation
They include in-depth work on their particular subject matter from an anthropological perspective. Available courses include:
- Camphill Curative Education and Social Therapy Seminars offered by the Sheiling School, Ringwood, Hants, and Glencraig Camphill Community, Northern Ireland.
- BA Honours degree in Curative Education (BACE) offered by the University of Aberdeen in association with Camphill Rudolf Steiner Schools and other participating communities.
- Seminar in Mental Health
- Youth Guidance Seminar
- Adult Communities Course
- Kate Roth Homemakers Seminar
- Camphill Health Care Course
Camphill co-workers can participate in many other forms of training including NVQs in care and support and vocational training to equip them with skills or upgrade existing skills in all aspects of their work from running craft workshops to public relations crisis management, food hygiene to post-graduate courses in administration and business management.
There are also many Steiner-based training courses available that are of relevance to the work of Camphill communities. Our co-workers often embark on such programmes as part of their personal and professional development path. They include:
- BA (Hons) Steiner Waldorf Education - Plymouth University
- Art of Education -Steiner Waldorf Teacher Training - Emerson College, Sussex
- Steiner Waldorf Schools Fellowship - other Waldorf Teacher trainings
- Art, artistic therapy and health studies - Hibernia College
- Rhythmical Massage Therapy training - Rhythmical Massage Therapy Association
- Transformative Art and Therapy - Tobias School of Art &Therapy

In fact, the training opportunities in Camphill communities are probably wider than in any organisation working in the field of care, welfare and support.
