The Community | The People

TWO HOUSE COMMUNITIES form the basis of our life. Each is home to four supported individuals and two longterm co-worker house coordinators and their families. We are further joined by a couple of staff who support us in domestic and therapeutic areas and work activities.

We regularly invite guest volunteers from the UK or abroad to spend some time with us - usually one at a time. Whilst taking on important support tasks, they gain valuable training, experience, skills in community building and social care and often forge lasting friendships with us.

Our supported individuals range in age from 30 to 75 years. All have their own room under a secure tenancy that gives them full privacy. We support each individual in their personal aspirations, their domestic tasks and day activities, with finances, benefits, personal care, access to health care and in their relationships, both within and beyond the community.

In turn they extend their help and friendship to the volunteers, co-workers and staff.

All chose freely to share their life with others in this intentional community.
